The World that senses with Sensors

Posted by max On April - 21 - 2009

toll-boothThe advancement in technology has really really affected the way we work and things work in this world these days. One of the major invention by humans in the field of technology is the field of sensors.

Sensors are of many types like motion, heat, water, fire, sound, light and many more. Many sensors are used in public places and private places like smartcard sensors at Metro Stations and at some university or Office for
attendance purposes.

The amazing sensor that has impressed me the most are being installed at the Toll booths at several places. They
senses the card inside the vehicle from more than 50 meters. By this the vehicle doesn’t have to wait at the booth
for swiping the card as this would waste a whole lot of time. But this time is being saved with the help of these
amazing sensors as the senses the card and the amount is debit from the card’s balance and the barrier opens by
itself.

One of these are used at the Delhi-Gurgaon Highway in India. Drive safely and Enjoy the technology.
