The Dual Screen Laptop: Lenovo W700
Having only recently posted about the Apple TriBook MacBook Concept its interesting to note that IBM/Lenovo have just announced their new ThinkPad W700 series mobile workstation laptop which distinguishes itself from the stock W700 in coming complete with an integrated 10.6” (diagonal) secondary 1280 x 768 resolution display supplementing its main 17” 1920 x 1200 WUXGA screen.
Beyond the dual screen magic this model also packs a ton of amazing specs for all kinds of computing goodness. Note that we’re talking a digitizer and pen here but I believe that’s on the wrist wrest and not the screens.
The panel features a portrait orientation and it appears that the PC maker is claiming this as a real productivity booster, providing its users with an extra 39-percent of space. According to available details, this seems to be the only difference between the company’s standard ThinkPad W700 mobile workstation and the W700ds model. All other specifications appear to be the same.
