Television Running on Wireless Power: Innovation Technology
Witricity is commonly known as Wireless Electricity and is the future of electric transmission without wires. And a US based firm Witricity developed a system that can provide power to different devices in wireless manner, this means without any wires.
Eric Giler, chief executive of US firm Witricity, said almost 40 billion disposable batteries are built every year and even more amount is being invested in building wiring infrastructure. And he charged a Google G1 phone and an Apple iPhone using this wireless system.

Witricity: Wireless Power
This system uses “Resonance” and electro-magnetic waves to transfer power in wireless manner. Witricity uses low frequency electromagnetic waves and there are two coils, one in plugged into the mains and the other is embedded or attached to the gadget which needs to be charged.
All the devices within the range of coil can be charged with wireless power and this field is harmless as the waves are basically magnetic in nature. Witricity uses small frequency waves, this means waves of large wavelength (30m), and this can be used to charge laptops, mobile phones and even electric cars.
