Networking Hardwares to build a Wired and Wireless Network at Home

Most of us are familiar with the term networking and so common it has become these days. Using a single computer which can offer everything isn’t possible so we connect different computers to get our tasks completed. Networking is a necessary in every field like educational institutions, companies, banks and large industries.

Now simple networking hardware is available in the market and you can easily get it from a nearby shop and create your own network at home. Now its you to decide which type of network you need, wired or wireless.

To create a Wired Network you need:

Ethernet card to link Computers
UTP Cables
RJ-45 Connectors
A Switch or Hub

This Wired or Ethernet Network is the most common network used today in companies and organizations. It provides high data speed of 100Mbps to 1Gbps and is mainly used for LAN(Local Area Network). So you can create a wired network at your home and connect different PCs to share data and play LAN Games.

The other network that is growing popularity is the Wireless network which provides you the freedom to be mobile and free from bulks of wires.For a wireless network, we require a Wi-Fi networking card is required.

Wireless Hardware

Its functions same as the Ethernet but it is without the cable connections characteristic of the Ethernet. A Wi-Fi networking card connects through electromagnetic radiation. Wi-Fi offers speed of 54MBps and 108 MBps, and any device within a 100 or 1000-foot range of a Wi-Fi router can easily obtain a steady and secure connection to the LAN.
