There is always a threat to your computer system from viruses and trozans via Internet or USBs, so it is always recommended to use the best antivirus available. Very recently Microsoft has confirmed that a new, highly dangerous zero-day vulnerability that has caused multiple researchers to issuing warnings. This exploit is extremely dangerous at all the levels.

All anti-malware vendors are updating their antivirus softwares to add detection functionality of this rootkit and Microsoft is among them. This rootkit needs serious attention else it may lead to system damage, so backup your computer periodically.
