Microsoft has launched new efficiency products like Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010 with the aim to boost up the productivity alongside reducing the management costs in business organizations. But it isn’t easy to migrate from existing infrastructure to some newer technology without sufficient knowledge, guidance and tools.

To help you and provide you with enough details Microsoft along with Dell and Intel are organizing exclusive sessions for IT professionals on ‘Deploying and Migrating Your Client/Server Infrastructure to Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2’. These sessions will include interactive discussions with Microsoft experts about various tools that can be used to migrate IT in infrastructure. There may be live demos featured on Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit, User State Migration Tool & Windows Easy Transfer, Application Compatibility Toolkit, Windows Server Migration Tools and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010.

This is a really good initiative by Microsoft as it’ll help both the professionals and Microsoft itself as many organizations have adopted Linux due to lack of knowledge about latest Microsoft products. There are rumors that Microsoft may even be distributing some Windows 7 for free among those professionals.
