How to Download a file by Different Ways

utorrent_iconSince WWW has become commercial all the necessary information including softwares, books, discussion forums are easily available and are just a click away from you. Downloading has also become a trend. The term Downloading actually means getting any file on your local system from remote system or any server.

Almost everyone using internet downloads movies, songs, videos and many more items from Internet. There are many ways by which we can download a file.

Simple Download with OS

The basic downloading is just done with the help of your operating system. Just click on the download button on the web page and then select save to disk option. The file will be downloaded and will be saved to the location you specified in the save to disk option.

Download with Download Manager Software

Another way is to use some special softwares like Internet Download Manager(IDM) and Free Download Manager(FDM) that perform the downloading function very quickly as compared to normal OS mode as these download Managers uses multiple GEt commands to connect to the server.

By this method a single file is divided into multiple small files and are downloaded by different GEt commands. These softwares also provide Resume capability in case of any suspention in the downloading. I have been usingIDM for years now and its working really well for me. Highly recomended in for direct downloads from server.

Download through Torrent Software

Another method is by using torrents. Torrent softwares like utorrent, bit torrent and Azureus(known as Vuze) are special kind of softwares for peer to peer downloading. The techniques discussed before are based on cleint-server model where there is one source known as server.

But in case of Peer to Peer downloading every computer connected to internet and using a torrent software also acts as a source of file.
So downloading becomes much faster as compared to previous techniques. One important thing is that more the number of seed, more are the chances that you will get download at high speed. The simple way to download a file through torrent is to follow some steps:

  • Download and install any torrent software
  • Search and Download a torrent from any Search Engine
  • Either save that file and open it with the torrent software already installed on your system.
  • File will start downloading and progress can be seen in the software’s window.
