Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has launched the fastest wireless broadband service WiMAX in Rajasthan with speed up to 7 Mbps. WiMAX is the latest technology for wireless data transmission and is replacing most Wi-Fi in many institutions and government agencies.

The aim of BSNL by launching this service is to empower rural India with high speed broadband Internet.
