Japan: First Blu-ray Disc / DVD Hybrid Announced
PonyCanyon a subsidiary of Fuji TV in Japan announced the first commercial ever Blu-Ray Disc / DVD featuring the Japanese drama “Code Blue” in a full special Box.
It sure took long enough to happen, but one of HD DVD’s biggest benefits has finally made it over to the Blu-ray side. Yep, we’re talking about a Blu-ray / DVD hybrid disc, with a single-layer of Blu on one side and a standard DVD on the very same side (as in, not a “flipper” disc).

5D Mark II camera supported by Apple Software
Apple has added support for raw photo files from Canon’s vaunted if imperfect 5D Mark II to its Aperture 2 and iPhoto 08 software less than a week after rival Adobe did so with Lightroom.
The Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 2.4 also supports Canon’s high-end compact, the PowerShot G10, and the Pentax K2000/K-m (presumably the white version, too), according to Apple. It requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or Mac OS X 10.5.3 or later.

70:30 Gamers prefer Xp to Vista
Valve’s November Steam user metrics are up, and it’s (still) a landslide for gamers running Windows XP. 68% of Steam users connect to the online community and games service running the 32-bit version of XP.
