$18 Handset upgrade fee eliminated by T-Mobile
On December - 18 - 2008
T-Mobile is in a giving mood this holiday season.
It has suspended the handset upgrade fee that it charges all customers who upgrade from one phone to another.
The fee will no longer be required by any customer, no matter which phone they upgrade to, whether it be via retail or online sales channels.
It applies to all cell phones and smartphones offered by carrier, including T-Mobile G1, and doesn’t matter whether you’re upgrading your handset in stores or online.
To be clear, this is not part of a holiday promotion and there is no specified end date. T-Mobile said it’s the company’s way of thanking its loyal customers, and we say cheers to that.

It sounds like you’re creating problems yourself by trying to solve this issue instead of looking at why their is a problem in the first place

Well technology do have some drawbacks, so its just a method to remove them. But I fully agree with you that its like creating a problem for you.
